I would have posted sooner, but we were buried under 2 feet of snow.
And I was forced to lay on the couch and do very little.
That is only partly true.
We did receive 2 feet of snow.
When multiplied by the Arkansas factor, that equals roughly 47 feet of snow.
And "forced" might be a small exaggeration.
But The Palace did enjoy a few weeks of rest and relaxation.
Now, however, I've got a tiny little favor to ask.
The Princess is doing a school project on the country of Belgium.
We are very aware of the waffle & the chocolate.
(We especially are aware of them in combination, but that is a different post.)
She's researching other stuff.
The issue: She has to wear native attire.
I don't sew. Or live in Belgium. Or know anyone who lives in Belgium.
And what I see online looks kind of like Little Red Riding Hood.
Currently, we are not seeing a lot of LRRH get-up at the local shopping venues.
So...help? Suggestions?
And did I mention it's due in 2 weeks...?
Hi this is the first time I have commented so hello! My name is Aileen and I live in Scotland. However I do have a lot of friends from Belgium so I will ask them (via the wonder of facebook) what their native attire is. I really dont think they have any though! I presume you are meaning like how the kilt is traditional scottish attire even though people only wear it to weddings? Anyway if I find out anything I will let you know! And yes Waffles and Chocolate are amazing!

Some friends of my sisters are living in Belgium now. I could pass along an email to them and see if they could help your daughter out. The husband is actually from Belgium and they've moved over there to work with the youth.

I shall be of no assistance to you...other than to show my morale support in your endeavor. I'm just over joyed at not having to do it myself! And wow! You actually know people who know people that live there! Maybe she can get bonus points. :)

Let her dress up like a horse...with a Budweiser logo. (even though I think the Clydesdale is the Budweiser horse, they'll never know the difference) I am sure her (christian) school will see the humor!

Hmmm. When I think of Belgium, I think of Hercule Poirot (you know, from the Agatha Christie novels?), so maybe she could dress up as an elderly detective with a swirly moustache??

Just have her wear any bonnet & any dress and give the teacher the chocolate - she'll get an A. ;)
