Another day, another plan.
Basically, we are pausing to catch our breath.
God has so clearly been opening doors for us as we have followed the plan originally given to us by the Guatemalan judge.
The news about La P's parents came out of nowhere and completely threw us off. The King & I don't want to make a decision based on a reaction to unexpected news.
We want to make a decision based on prayer.
So. The King is not going into the mountains today. Instead, he will be meeting with an attorney that is not associated with the orphanage. We are so unfamiliar with their legal system and want to be sure we have a clear understanding of what is actually taking place.
We are getting conflicting information from people with various agendas.
We need to make a decision for this little girl based on truth.
Thank you so much for your prayers. The King and I both felt uneasy about the mountain trip.
Partially because it's, you know, the mountain trip.
But I think mostly because of the prayers on our behalf.
While he may still end up making the trip, it will be because we are completely confident that it is God's plan. Not because we want a quick solution.
And that is the plan o' the day.
For now anyway.
Sounds like you are making wise decisions....
"Give me your hand and a light that I may go forth into the unkown...put your hand into the hand of God.....that shall be to you better than a light, safter than a known way."

I think that is very wise! I'm fond of the "If ya don't KNOW, ya don't GO" philosophy.
Prov 13 tells us that wisdom's ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace.
Follow peace and all will be well. Remember, I said "peace" not "comfort"...kind of like a certain missions trip someone took a while back :)
Still praying.

What an emotional journey. You guys are Brave. This is one of those things that you have to have all the passion in the world about and be whole-hearted in your efforts, but also as Christians, we have to leave room for flexibility with God's Will. He may change our course. He likes to do this to see if we are listening I think. :-) Your family is listening to the voice of God and moving forward as you see fit. I so appreciate you sharing your journey so publicly with all of us in cyber-space. We are praying and we are believing for God's plan to be revealed quickly. I remember with the adoption of my 2 children how it seemed like pins and needles through a lot of the process. Now one is asleep upstairs and one is bouncing next to me begging for a cartoon. God is faithful.

God is faithful ... all the time. I pray that God will give you the wisdom and patience that you all need to go through this process. I pray that He will keep LaPrincessa safe and healthy. I especially pray that God will be glorified in all of this. And I thank you for your sharing your journey with us - not just the pretty, exciting parts. It's an honor to pray for you and your family.

Oh, yesterday I was just sick upon reading about the news you received, but I've prayed since then. Now, I am hopeful. And it is so wise of you to seek God's will before you leap into action with your plans. Praying for you.

I firmly believe that God speaks to us, if we are willing to ask Him in prayer and then LISTEN to and respond to the answers. Good for you both for doing that!

We are praying for you guys. It is amazing to stand on the side-lines and watch this beautiful story unfold. God's hand on all of it is so apparent. We love what you are doing.
