I'm working on a La P update.
I know it sounds weird, but La P posts kind of drain me. I have to write them in small pieces.
Am I a wimp?
Until then, I thought I'd show you my almost completed kitchen.
The pantry door still needs its screen to be installed, but you can get the idea.
You know my photography is not good. If you enlarge the picture and squint, you can sort of see it...
There will be another light over the sink. It is crystal-y and sweet. And backordered.
Did y'all know that "backordered" is code for "we forgot to order it"?
I can't prove it, but I'm pretty sure...
I'm thinking there may have been a hair on my camera lens.
Some of you may notice that this is not the stove from The King.
That's a long story. Another time...
Thanks for looking.

Here's a sweet picture of La P that I received last week.
I'm about to bust to see her again!
You are not a wimp. I used to do my monthly log-in-date posts. Yeah... I used to do them. It got kinda old - and draining - long about month 25. I don't even think I marked our three year anniversary. Hang in there! And the kitchen looks so... so... YOU.

La P's hair is getting so long - I swear she just gets more precious with each picture.
And I'm a lovin' the kitchen and that sink!

Isn't it a sin to covet? Because if I were Catholic I'd have to go to confession this week. Love that kitchen, and I don't even like blue!

Yep, loving the kitchen:) La P looks like she's giving her daddy the innocent look;) So do tell the stove story.....I know it wasn't backordered. Remember the skunk, or is that my answer?

You are totally not a wimp. I would think that writing La P updates are like someone writing about waiting for pregnancy testing? or writing about TTC or those first u/s before you start telling people you are pregnant, it's yours it's in your heart and it's yours to keep until you release and then it's out there.
hugs the house looks great!

I adore your kitchen... Truly! Esp. the color of your cabinets. I mean, only truly brilliant people choose that color, it's just stunning and simply inspiring to cook in. (and also the color of the walls in my kitchen. :) )

thou shalt not covet, though shalt not covet, though shalt not covet.
I covet your kitchen! You are making me want a whole new house!

not that I don't like it, but what color is in your kitchen? It looks turquoise-y or greenish depending on which pic I'm looking at on this computer. I know it's gorgeous in person, but it looks color-changing and thus odd on my computer. : ) Congrats on the big move, however!!
can't wait for the la p update. I know people who are from Guatemala. We actually have several people in our small town from there.

Well, while everyone else is ga-ga over the kitchen sink ..... I have to tell you my absolute favorite part of the whole thing is that pantry door. I'd love to have that on my front door; it's gorgeous!

I had a screen door on my pantry in my old house. I loved it and so did everyone that came to visit. I put the spring really tight so we could get the full effect when he opened it.

I got tears when I saw Maria...sooo sweet! The kitchen looks awesome. The knobs and pulls really pop...are you going to have to hang beads on the sweet little light that hangs over the sink?????(I helped hang beads on sweet little lights over her bathroom sink....tedious....but worth it, they look great!)

Lovin' the kitchen! The pantry door is awesome and you have my dream kitchen sink. I think your definition for "backordered" is right on the money.

Your kitchen is awesome, I love it!

I love everything you're doing in the kitchen. You are going to invite us all over for coffee or iced tea when you're finished, right? We'll start out in the kitchen and all wind up on your front porch watching the cows. Then, you can take us all to the barn to see the skunk stove and we'll all deep sigh over its uselessness. (And then I'll load it in my truck and bring it home because I just might get rid of my island for it! Ha!)
Love the sweet picture of La P - I believe her eyes could melt any heart!

Your taste is awesome. I always enjoy seeing what you come up with , I felt the same about Lisa and her Take 90 West blog but she seems to have vanished-seems she moved awfully quick before she stopped blogging- weird?! Anyone see her in the blogging world anymore?
