So we are leaving this morning for Guatemala.
In a plane.
I don't love planes.
But I do love La P, so planes are necessary.
As are flying pills.
I will hopefully be able to post while I'm there.
Which will be kind of ironic, since I hardly post when I'm home.
You know you were thinking it.
Thanks for the book recommendations!!! I have a list of must reads that will last for months!
I chose The Thirteenth Tale and Water for Elephants for this trip. They seemed to be mentioned the most. I'll let you know what I think about them.
I am also thankful for my friends who take care of responsibilities at home while we're away. It makes it so much easier to leave. Especially my house sitting family who is allergic to my cats.
(Now that's true friendship.)
Thank you all so very much for your prayers. I need them.
Y'all are the best.

Best wishes for a wonderful trip! I'll be looking forward to your posts... and pictures of La P!!!
Be blessed

HI QB, I don't read your blog often, but I wish I could have given you a GOOD book to read when you asked. I just read Mary Beth Chapman's book, and Wow! I laughed so hard in spots, that people came running to see what was up. And I cried so hard in other spots, but I was quiet so no one came to see about that. Thing is, I loaned the book already, and I can't remember the title, but I think Mary Beth Chapman only has the one, and it's something about See, like Starting to See or something like that. It's her family story, with husband Steven Curtis Chapman & their 6 kids.

I chose water for elephants based on all the comments here....I couldn't make it past half way...so full of filth. I was very disappointed. Had been hoping for a great recommendation with so many making the suggestion. I guess that will be my lasting lesson, to only take suggestions from people that I know in real life. bummer.
hope the other book worked out for you.
