1. This is the creepiest Halloween costume I've ever seen.
2. The Princess and I went to Riverdance with Beachy Mimi yesterday. I mean no disrespect to Irish dancers, but I am concerned that they will suffer some long-term knee joint issues. I was not aware that knees were made to move in so many different directions.
Another concern that I have after attending the Riverdance performance is the combination of shoes & socks that my mother is choosing.
I do believe that is a hiking sock with her sassy boot.
Please let her know that we, as a group, do not approve.
3. The King is traveling for work. He had a really long drive yesterday. Like, 28 hours.
At 3 a.m. I received a text that included this picture...
I replied to ask if that was his current location.
He confirmed that it was, in fact, his current location.
I then asked if it was open at 3 a.m.
He informed me that it was nature, and nature doesn't close.
Here's The King at Niagara Falls at 3 a.m.
So, in case you ever find yourself in the area at 3 a.m. and are wondering if Niagara Falls is open...it is.
4. I need your opinion on chiropractors. I know that it is often controversial. I've never been to one, but think that my spine needs adjusting. Thoughts?

3. I loooooove Niagara Falls! I hope to take my family there some day. He's got to go on the boat that takes you to the middle. Really cool.
1. That costume is what nightmares are made of. Seriously. The commercials weird me out.
2. She's getting wild, isn't she? Flying off to get married, and now this? What are we going to do with her?
4. No clue.
ps. I miss you!

Niagara Falls at 3:00 AM - interesting information. I have never been to a chiropractor but I do have two friends that think it's great, they go often.

IF you choose to go to one, go to a good one. I'm a physical therapist, and in the central AR area there is a guy who is both a PT and a chiropractor. He has a very good reputation. However, one of the ladies in my women's Bible study is a doctor, and she won't go to one because she treated a woman in the ER once who was paralyzed because the chiropractor did an adjustment wrong. So, do your research if that's the route you choose to take.

Too chicken for a chiro.
Great pics of Niagra!
Are the boots with hiking socks Mimi's version of the 70's male fashion statement of the white shoe with matching belt? If she starts to unbutton her shirt to her belly button and adds the gold chains: seek immediate intervention! ;)
Does this mean you are all moved in? Do we get a La P update? Should I hush now?

Dang I forgot to add: Tobey's brother looks exactly like the King. The BK one, not the Queen B one. It is freaky.
Posted by: April | October 25, 2009 at 11:42 PM
I had no idea that Niagara Falls was open at 3am! I guess it makes sense, but still...who knew?
I was extremely skeptical about chiropractors, but the desire to not have to continue to take Aleve every day for back and shoulder pain led me to one. I highly, highly recommend Dr. Thomas Sullivan at Sands Chiropractic in Bentonville. He totally changed my opinion about chiropractors and took the time to 'splain everything to me before doing it.
So does this mean that the King will NOT be a king for Halloween? ;-)

That is a creepy costume! Those socks do not go with the snazy boots! I love riverdance but it also makes my knees hurt watching it :-P.. go to know about Niagara falls :-P

Chiropractors have kept me upright for the last 18 years.
Why do the Burger King people insist on using that creepy king?
Posted by: Capri Kel | October 26, 2009 at 06:15 AM
The Burger King scares me - imagine how young children must feel!
Your king amazes me - I doubt my Prince Charming would have taken the time to stop for a picture at 3 am after that many hours of driving.
Your mom is awesome - I love someone who isn't afraid to march to their own drum beat. Really cute boots - did she have on pants or a skirt? 'Cause that really is the issue when it comes to whether or not the socks were appropriate! LOL
Chiropractors - absolutely!!! But, be forewarned that the pain can be "worse before it's better" when getting everything back in alignment. Ask around and find one that your friends have been to and recommend. Like any medicine, there are quacks out there but there are also some really good doctors who bring better living to their patients!
Be blessed!

only go to one that will take xrays before they start poppin you all over! Seriously!
I went to one for treatment that was an alternative to surgery and I am so glad I did. I need to go back. I'm out of whack I can tell. Maybe it's the crunching sound I hear in my neck?
But they should not even touch you until you've had xrays.

Who would have thought it would be open...
Socks like that don't belong. I will have to leave her a comment and let her know. lol
I don't do chiropractors, they scare me. I do deep massage thearpy though and that is heaven!

Hello,
So I stalk your blog from Amy's blog. We like Generations Wellness in Fayetteville (in the same shopping center as Ozark Natural Foods.) They have excellent care and great customer service. My M.D. hubby was the biggest skeptic ever about seeing a Chiropracter, but he goes 2 times weekly now. Funny....he needed one just after we moved!

Okay this whole thing is just hysterical!!! Does your Mom know you took the picture? It kind of looks like you took it on the sly! :-). Stanley in front of Niagra Falls at 3am!!! I worry about the dancers knee joints too. It looks painful to me. I will be laughing all day now. Thanks :-)

I wouldn't be able to walk if it wasn't for my chiropractor. There are several different types of chiropractic care, so research the types and ask around for recommendations. My chiropractor practices the Gonstead method, which involves physically manipulating the spine/vertebrae into place. Other chiropractors work more on the muscles, giving a series of mild electric shocks to the affected muscles.

1} I have a hip disorder so I have to see a chiropractor. If one is out of alignment it does take awhile to get right, but pretty typically once you are "right" you will stay healthier, more energetic and at your best.
2} we used to live in Niagara... miss it. Great place to live. Not always the safest place to roam around at 3 a.m. however.
3} the boots and socks were awesome... an individual sense of style is necessary. (says the girl whose mother matches her really ugly 80's earrings to her robes.)
4} That king is terrifying. The commercials move me to fear filled tears...

Chiropractors can be helpful - just get a recommendation from your friends. Also consider massage - I tried that the last time I had a pinched nerve, and it was a wonderful alternative!

I would never do the chiropractor thing. JMO.
When I get a sore back (joint & muscle) I get a good massage. That usually does the trick for me.

Creepy - in so many ways!!!
I was not a believer in chiropractors (even though we have a good friend who is one) until my husband finally went. He was in so much pain he could hardly walk and now he is much much better.
Be sure they are certified!!! Be sure they take x-rays before they do anything!!!! Ask for references, etc... Check their record with the AMA.
I haven't been to one myself, but my husband still goes on occassion. Not all the time, but just when he needs to go.

Beachy Mimi, I adore you. But you need to lose the socks. Sorry. As for Riverdance itself... only white people would create a dance style that requires furious motion below the waist, while maintaining a completely frozen position from the waist up - including the frozen smile. I'm just saying...

Hubby and I both go to a very good chiropractor in Fayetteville. He uses the Gonstead method too, like Heather's. He does the X-rays and a pre-patient interview.
This may sound weird but I know you may want to do this to calm your nerves, so, I need to go for an adjustment soon, like this week, If you'd like to tag along to see what it is like, I'm willing to see if they will allow that.
I've been seeing a chiropractor since I was 7. That's a lot of years.

I am taking BM's side if and only if she had pants on! I ran into the same dilemma last night. Of all nights someone wanted to see my whole shoe-I of course had on these long socks that weren't even mine and they were way too big! The gray heel part was over the top of the back of my shoe:( BUT, I was wearing them to go ice skating in. I didn't feel like ice skating when we got there, hence I still had the sock on otherwise I would have NEVER put a sock that was in a pair of skates back into my shoe!
So, moving on.....if you need anything while the King is gone, call me! I just experienced my husband gone for two straight weeks. NOT fun:(
Chiro, love it. Too expensive for me though. I will recommend Dr Whitelaw! He's the best. He is the Hogs team dr, too. Very nice guy, if you go to him tell him I said "Hi." His partner is great, too. Dr Walker, nice christian man.
Toodles:)

Hi Queen B -
Never commented....always read!! I live in NWA as well....long story short I desperately needed a chiorpractor after a chaotic, stressful summer of dealing with my hubby being diagnosed with cancer. I asked around and ended up at Hi-Tech Chiropractic Care in Tontitown. He takes x-rays, video of your spine while in motion and then goes from there. HE IS WONDERFUL and has saved me from severe pain!! His name is Crist Cunico and his number is 361.1112. His sense of humor is dry, but I have come to really like him!! Just joke with him and give it back!! Call or email if you have any questions! 466.4463

DISCLAIMER: I did not have on a skirt with those socks!
Thank you.

I've just visited with a friend whose kid has that exact costume. How creepy is it that he thinks it's just SO cool!
