I'm still here.
We spent a relaxing weekend in Dallas. Well. As much as you can relax in 107 degree heat.
I thought I'd share a few pictures of the construction progress.
(Because, really, what else is monopolizing my time?)
I am really pleased with the brick. It is an antique brick and has green & blue paint in places.
Several have asked if the house is enormous.
It isn't.
The roof lines & hidden garage make it look way larger than it is.
Which kind of freaks me out.
I am super excited to downsize from our current home.
It only looks like I'm upsizing.
We finalized the interior paint choices.
The colors look really weird in the photo.
That brown color is really not brown so much as charcoal-ish.
And the white that looks like it might burn your retina is really kind of gray.
So, pretty much, disregard the photo.
That's all for now.
Assuming you read this far...

I love it! It's fun to see progress. I can't wait to start seeing inside stuff.

Everything looks wonderful! I love your paint (inside and out) and brick choices. Also love the silver tin roof over the porch!
Can't wait to see more.

The house looks great! When do they think they will finish it? I love the far left color on the color choices.. might need to use that when I paint at some point :-)

I read far enough... at least, until I reached the photo where that blinding white color burned my retinas. Heh.
Love the brick. When's your move in date?

Oh, your new house is gorgeous! The siding paint looks great with the antique brick; and I love how the bricks are a myriad of colors and not all just "rustic red". Praise God!

It's just beautiful. Looks like you will be "home" there.
I laughed at the "white that looks like it might burn your retina." That was a good one.

I am loving the style you have chosen for your house from paint colors to brick to roof lines. Very cool. My hubby and I have built 2 houses now and we think if we eventually do it one more time we might just get "everything right" by the 3rd go around! So many choices and so many things you won't know if you will love until you live there. It looks beautiful though! Congrats to you.

Love it all. We just got back from Dallas too. I'm now appreciating Arkansas weather. 90 doesn't seem so scalding now.

It looks loverly!
I am so glad that you "clarified" the size thingy. I thought I remembered that you said you were downsizing and I kept thinking DOWNSIZING FROM WHAT?????

Beautiful home. How very exciting. I wish I had the nerve to try paint schemes. I'm an off-white type of gal. Maybe you have given me the motivation I need.
