Hallelujah- Vacation's Almost Here

I'm whistling while I work.

Only I'm not whistling.

Or working.

More like humming.

While packing.

This kind of started out to the tune of the Hallelujah chorus.

But then I got lost somewhere around Hallelujah.

So it is more like a poem. That doesn't rhyme or have rhythm.

Just go with me, people.

Going on vacation
to the beach
In Florida
where there's sand
and sun
and water

We have packed up the snacks
to take with us
and movies
and books
and diet pepsi
no maps

The King is preparing
the chariot
with gas
and oil
and the useless
Bag of Tools

Off we go....to Florida: on vacation; have to pack; need a tan
Dread the beach....bathing suits; ugly thighs; big sharks
Cannot wait.....eating out; every meal; no laundry
Get there soon....drive fast; no stopping; gotta hold it

I will blog
if I feel like it
maybe not
just depends
on the weather
and the fam

White legs
on the sand
oh the glare
get your glasses

Bathing suit
must cover
all the parts
that droop and sag

Cover ups
are my friends
gotta use them
hide the body

I am rambling
can you tell
I've lost focus
gotta help me

So sorry
this was bad
I am stopping
It is way late

Don't make fun

Honestly, you don't really want to spend your whole vacation at the beach...sand, sticky salt water, heat...YUCK!

Hmmm, if you're going to Fort Walton beach, keep an eye out for my brother, SIL, and nephew -- they're leaving tomorrow for a week at the beach, too! And tell them not to let the baby drown. :(

Just returned from Destin. The water's a bit cool for the over 8 crowd! But the sun and sand were just perfect!

Always remember my beach motto:
There is ALWAYS somebody bigger than you, wearing a smaller swimsuit. Find them. Place your towel next to them. Enjoy!

Haha, I love Tammy's "beach motto" (a couple of comments before me) ~ that's awesome! I may have to remember that one myself. If and when it ever gets warm enough here to go to the beach.
