I've lurked at Calapidder Days Reading Things for a few seasons.
I figured I might as well jump in and admit how many books I buy start read.
The key for me will be finishing the books. I am halfway through lots of books.
I'm thinking Spring Break is a good time to begin the finishing of the books. And since Spring Break is next week, I better get started.
Below is the list that I hope to finish by June 24. I will give a quick review on the book when it is completed. (I'll move this list to the left sidebar.)
Don't forget that I will giveaway my book club's selection the first week of each month.
If I read a book that is totally & completely fabulous...I'll probably give away a copy of it, too.
And just because it is pretty outside and the sun is shining and it is Easter and I want you all to read along with me...I am giving away a $15 Amazon gift card.
Like, now.
Leave one comment with this post and I will randomly pick a winner on Wednesday, March 26. The comments will close at midnight on Tuesday. Be sure to leave a way for me to get in touch with you if you are the winner.
To participate in the reading extravaganza, go to Calapidder Days Spring Reading Thing 2008!!
Happy Reading!!
(Feel free to venture a guess as to how many of these I'll actually finish...)
The Last Days by Joel C Rosenberg
The Ezekiel Option by Joel C Rosenberg
The Copper Scroll by Joel C Rosenberg
Stuck in the Middle by Virginia Smith
When I Lay My Isaac Down by Carol Kent
The Perfect Life by Robin Lee Hatcher
For Better or For Worse by Diann Hunt
Whispers of the Bayou by Mindy Starns Clark

I think I have just as many unfinished books on my desk! I have just told myself I can't even look at Amazon until I have read the ones I have! Sounds like I'm talking to my kids, so now I know where they get it! Elizabeth

Hmmm...I may write down some of your titles before I go to the library. Although, I must confess, most of my reading is "escape reading" with no literary merit whatsoever.

That is a lot of books.
I used to read every night, until the blog took over my life.

I've been lurking around blogland. I started a blog several months ago because I wanted to do the Fall Reading thing and only wrote one post. What's worse is it wasn't even the reading list. I need to actually do it this time. Thanks for the inspiration.

I love books so much.
I go in spurts, where I read like a crazy woman, book after book after book.
Then I burn myself out.
There are so many good books out there, such little time.

My night stand is getting over run with things I mean to read. I go through spurts. There are times when you can't rip the books out of my hands and then other times I don't read anything for weeks on end. Good luck with your new reading goals! And yes, I would love a Amazon gift card!

I actually just start a Joel Rosenberg book that is borrowed. It seems really good so far so it would be great to own my own copy!

I don't have unfinished books, but I have a ton! Hubby always jokes that they are going to end up somewhere if I am not careful.
I am going to have to take a look at your list more carefully...I am always on the hunt for books. And Amazon is the best place to find them!

Good Luck Queenie. I too love to read...but, have spent the last month only gazing lovingly at my stash...sigh...maybe this summer...

I have the opposite problem...I HAVE to finish a book (or magazine, or crappy brochure I picked up at the mall) even if I don't like it. It drives me crazy to stop mid way through.
I used to be an over-the-road truck driver and would read about 25-30 books a month. I kind of miss those days. (NOT the truck driving...just the reading)
Cheers,
Lucky

Ummmm, I shutter to ask, but do any of these book have any pictures?! :-)
I guess too much schooling leads to a lack of love for the reading arts.

I am trying to re-read all of the classics I loved growing up. Plus, there are a few new books I have my eye on! The gift card would be great! Thank you! ( meg.wilson@gmail.com )

I love to read, and have many on the shelf just waiting for me to dive in. Who says they can't have a little company?

I'm looking forward to your reviews! Books are very hard to get here so Amazon is my favorite (I ship them to visitors and make them pack them in their suitcases as entry tickets to our house :-)).

Oooh, quite ambitious! I tried reading 30 books in one summer. I barely finished 10 I think, if that. I, for one, being a book loving teenager without a job, would LOVE a lovely gift card from Amazon. :D

Wow. I am impressed. I'm thinking now I should make a list of things to read by summer. Thanks for the chance to win some from Amazon.
