QBBQ #4 (Queen B's Beauty Quest Number Four)
My fellow slaves to beauty, you know the importance of a good foundation.
I mean, come on. We all must look as if we naturally have magnificent skin. Without actually having magnificent skin. A good foundation can totally do that for us.
I want to briefly run through the list of the foundations that I have used in the past few years.
Bobbi Brown Oil-Free Even Finish Foundation SPF 15
Bobbi Brown SPF 15 Tinted Moisturizer
Lancome Bienfait Multi-Vital Teinte
So you can see brand loyalty is one of my best qualities.
I must say that my favorites would have to be the Bobbi Brown SPF Tinted Moisturizer and the Prescriptives Traceless.
If you wanted to know.
Obviously, I am always on the prowl for new make-up.
Tell us what you like. Don't like. Want to try. Made you break out like a spotted frog. You know the drill.

I'm a Pur Minerals girl all the way!!

I wish I could play. My favorite was discontinued a few years ago and I'm still looking for a new favorite. I'm too cheap to go to a makeup counter so I'm trying my way thru the drugstore stuff. Not much to love or hate. That is a problem!

I'm a Sorme girl. I use the pressed powder and don't use foundation. Love, love, love it! Looking forward to seeing what others are using!

currently using Bobbi Brown
wish I was using Laura Mercier (they have a shade that matches really well)
Would like to use GLO mineral makeup but it feels "cakey" on me

Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer, followed by Laura Mercier secret finish. I use them everyday.
If I'm going out for a night, which never happens, but if I am I use Bare Escentuals foundation. I love how the powder covers without feeling like anything, but it gives really good coverage. It is a little messy, both on my counter and me, so that is a negative. Maybe I'll give the Prescriptives a try.

I don't have a favorite right now, but I am interested in trying the mineral foundations that seem to be all the rage right now.

I'm just going to keep quiet and read what everyone else has to say, since I've never found a great foundation...it's a tricky proposition with rosacea!

I have HORRIBLE skin, with acne scars to boot. However, I have found that Dermologica's tinted moisturizer with SPF, in addition to Sorme mineral-based loose powder are a PERFECT combo for my skin. Together, they provide light-weight coverage that looks pretty natural, but it actually COVERS like I'm preparing for some Glamour Shots at the mall.

I stink at applying foundation. Maybe I just keep trying the wrong ones?? I'll be checking back to see what the consensus is!!

I hesitate to call a tinted moisturizer a foundation, but I HEART them very much.
Clinique makes a great one. I really just hate putting too much stuff on my face. Except for under eye concealer. That is truly my BFF and I don't leave the house with out it because then people would be scared of the Giant Raccoon Woman in Starbucks. How sad.

I have problem skin. Oily, prone to breakouts, awful pores, all the stuff you don't want plus the color is hard to match. I am pale but not enough to be porcelain, just funky. The only foundation I have found to match my skin tone and withstand my oil slick of a nose is Paula Dorf. Her primer is awesome too. It makes your skin feel velvety smooth and makes your pores look half their size. Besides, if her makeup is good enough for Gene Simmons, it's good enough for me.

Oooo!
I love posts like this!!
I use bare minerals. I really like it, but I wonder what else is out there for me?
For some reason I have a hard time matching my skin tone. When I worked at a department store, I used to use the custom-blended Prescriptives base.
I have ugly skin. Always a blemish of some sort - if it's not a pimple, it's a cold sore. I just can't win!
And I need something to help me with my baggy dark under-eye area.
Love your blog! I'm checking out the whole thing today :)
