The house building has been fun.
It's been a little bit more stressful than I would have anticipated, though.
All the decisions...
Does this coordinate with that...?
What do you mean I can't afford it...?
However.
I think we are finally to the fun part.
THE SHOPPING!
Because we are downsizing, I don't really have much to purchase. Just a few little things to liven up the place...
I want to show you a few items from AllModern.com that would be lovely additions to our new Palace.
Even though our home is mostly in the style of Farmhouse/Coastal/Cottage, I love throwing in a few more modern elements as a surprise.
(And if you will just indulge me for a few minutes, there will be a little happy for someone at the end of the post.)
The thing that most excites me about our new house is that it is totally us. We did what we wanted. We went with what we like.
I've loved our other homes, but they were always decorated in a way that was safe...the going thing, you know?
Well. This one is going to be a little rowdy.
I love color. I'm not really a "neutral" kind of girl.
Can I tell you how much I love this clock?
Love it.
I would not be able to accurately tell the time, but who cares? I would have the coolest clock in the whole world.
My infatuation with all things bright and colorful leads me to this...
It might be too young for The Princess, but don't you think La P needs a tree in her room?
Maybe this would work for The Princess?
If owls didn't totally creep me out, I would think this is really cute.
But they do.
They totally creep me out.
Something about the spinning head and non-blinking eyes.
There would not be one ounce of sleep happening in my room with those bad boys staring at me.
But for you? I think they would rock.
I think this is the wall decor for me. Right above my desk...
How cute is that fancy chalkboard?
When The Princess wants to upgrade her bedroom to a more teenager-ish room, I think this would be fun.
If I were to actually tell her that I like it, I'm thinking she would go the opposite direction.
(Teenagers, you know.)
So I also wouldn't tell her that I really like this pillow.
All this teenager talk is making me twitch.
Let's move to the pets, shall we?
I'm picturing Heidi & Ruby snuggled on this bed.
But this one is pretty snazzy, too.
Of course, I can't leave Chester and Fat out of my pretend shopping spree.
Here's a bed for them.
It even says "Fatboy". Which would be so special for our fat boy.
And in a category all their own...
...are these beauties.
I think I might even enjoy cleaning my potty with that.
My mom has a birthday coming soon. She collects pig things.
Wouldn't this be great for her?
So, um, Mom? Act surprised.
I think it is best that I stop pretend shopping now.
But guess what?
You don't have to!
Allmodern.com has generously offered to give one of you the choice of any product on the site, $75 or under.
How great is that?
All Modern has a fantastic selection of modern furniture and home accessories from many leading designers. Part of CSN Stores, All Modern is just one of over 260 retail sites that offer a diverse array of products from Herman Miller's popular Aeron Chair to cookware by Rachael Ray.
Just leave me one comment telling me something you're shopping for, and I'll randomly choose a winner on Friday evening.
Now. Stop what you're doing and go to All Modern.
Happy Shopping.

I need something for me, but I would probably buy something cute for baby girls room.

I didn't know if we should enter again or not here. But it was fun to drool over the chalkboard again. :)

Expecting baby #2, so I'm sure we could find lots of stuff for a nursery & 2 year old boy room!

I'm guessing I have to enter again... if not, you can delete this comment!
I need a new pepper mill and they have some terrific ones. That's what I'd get!

Glad I checked back today, YIKES, it moved!
I have looked at this website several times since reading about it here a few days ago. LOVE IT! Still want some wine glasses, but I've found some other kitchen items I love as well!

Like everyone else, I'm entering again just to be on the safe side. Looking for decorations for the living room (white carpet, beige furniture) - soon to be repainted walls once we decide on a color:)
Any decoration would be a great jumping off point - and a good way to get the family to agree on a color:) Love the blog, La P and the Princess. Can't wait to go see La P again - hopefully she'll be home before I get another chance to travel down there.

I need to shop for my new home office. And I know that chalkboard would make me way more organized and productive.
